Administrative Professional Training

Learning and developing a host of new skills to begin a new career


Prepare for a successful career as an administrative assistant, customer service representative, office manager, receptionist, and more. This program provides detailed information on customer service skills, de-escalation techniques, organizational and technological tools as well as the basics of accounting, purchasing, and office machine operations. The program also offers a special focus on workplace readiness skills combined with field practice/on-the-job learning experience.

Complete the Administrative Professional Training certificate program in 2 months, and enter the job market with new skills perfectly suited for entry-level administrative roles in a variety of settings including medical offices, law firms, banks, social and human services agencies, and more.

30 hours classroom instruction | 15 hours work-readiness training | 15 hours practical learning/on-the-job training

8 weeks | 9:00am - 11:30am Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (Dates/times may vary depending on student needs)

Teaching Mode

Hybrid (50% face-to-face classes and 50% virtual meetings) | In-person meetings take place at our North Campus located at 220 Elmwood Avenue, Providence, RI | Online classes take place on Zoom

Cost

All students enrolled in this pilot program's first cohort will receive full scholarships (All fees will be covered by our funding partners)

Eligibility

  • High School Diploma or GED (Please note, your High School Diploma does not have to be from the U.S. If you have a High School Diploma from a foreign country, it is equally eligible.)
  • Intermediate level English proficiency (if English is not your native language, you must pass the CASAS (English proficiency) test with a minimum score of 215.)
  • U.S. Work Authorization
  • Commitment to finding a job as an administrative professional
  • BCI (state background check which costs $5) More info on how to obtain here
  • Fully vaccinated with proof of vaccination
