Administrative Professional Training

Learning and developing a host of new skills to begin a new career


Prepare for a successful career as an administrative assistant, customer service representative, office manager, receptionist, and more. This program provides detailed information on customer service skills, de-escalation techniques, organizational and technological tools as well as the basics of accounting, purchasing, and office machine operations. The program also offers a special focus on workplace readiness skills combined with the Professional Administrative Certification of Excellence (PACE).

Complete the Administrative Professional Training certificate program in 2 months, and enter the job market with new skills perfectly suited for entry-level administrative roles in a variety of settings including medical offices, law firms, banks, social and human services agencies, and more.

45 hours classroom instruction | 15 hours work-readiness training | 20 hours independent learning for certification exam

Hybrid (50% face-to-face classes and 50% virtual meetings) | In-person meetings take place at our North Campus located at 220 Elmwood Avenue, Providence, RI | Online classes take place on Zoom

Cost

$200/session paid upon enrollment | PACE Certification to be paid for by Dorcas International

Eligibility

  • High School Diploma or GED (Please note, your High School Diploma does not have to be from the U.S. If you have a High School Diploma from a foreign country, it is equally eligible.)
  • Intermediate level English proficiency (if English is not your native language, you must pass the CASAS (English proficiency) test with a minimum score of 215.)
  • U.S. Work Authorization
  • Commitment to finding a job as an administrative professional
  • BCI (state background check which costs $5) More info on how to obtain here

Applicants must complete the application linked below. Once the application is submitted, an Admissions staff member will reach out to schedule an orientation, an English Proficiency (CASAS) test (if applicable), and to verify eligibility.
