Direct Care Professional | Integrated Education & Training (IET)

Launch a career in health care  and support helping others live with dignity, independence and care.

Prepare for rewarding work in nursing homes, hospitals, care facilities, and home health agencies. This 12-week Direct Care Professional IET program equips you with the skills and certifications needed for entry-level caregiving roles such as Home Health Aide, Homemaker, Personal Care Assistant, Companion, and Caregiver.

Through a mix of classroom instruction and hands-on learning, you’ll build practical English and direct care skills while covering essential topics like safety, nutrition, hygiene, mobility, and memory care.

Graduates earn a Direct Care Professional Certification, along with CPR and First Aid—everything you need to confidently begin your career in the growing healthcare and home care field.

Cost

$200/session paid upon enrollment | Free Northstar Digital Literacy and CPR Certifications

Eligibility

• High school diploma or GED is recommended
• High Intermediate level English proficiency: If English is not your native language, you must achieve a minimum score of 217 on the CASAS (English proficiency) test.
• U.S. work authorization
• Commitment to finding a job as a Direct Support Professional
• BCI (state background check which costs $5). More info here
