Volunteers play a critical role at Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island (DIIRI)  providing the individual attention our program participants require to succeed. We often need new volunteers to work as  tutors, class room aides, immigration and citizenship support, and refugee mentors.

If you would like to volunteer or want more information, send an email expressing your interest to diirivolunteerservices@diiri.org and our Coordinator of Volunteer Services will contact you.

Please note that placement is based on need and may not be immediate. Many opportunities may require a minimum of a three-month commitment; please see the descriptions of each department's volunteer opportunities for further details.

We do have limited, supervised opportunities for volunteers between the ages of 16 and 18. These opportunities require a three-month commitment and are dependent on departmental needs and volunteer interest.
